The Port of Sydney is the ocean gateway to scenic Cape Breton Island.

The Sydney Marine Terminal handles cruise ships, project cargo, break bulk, bulk and fuel and is located on the east side of the south arm of the harbour.
Dock location: East Side of Sydney Harbour. Terminal Dock Length 275 metres with landside bollards capable of accommodating up to 360 metre vessels
North Dock 200 Metres with landside bollards Capable of accommodating up to 360 metre vessels. There is also a South Dock that can accommodate yachts and super yachts up to 100 ft.
Recreational boaters in Sydney harbour can now visit the Sydney boardwalk and waterfront which features the Royal Cape Breton Yacht Club Marina, operated by the Port of Sydney. This Marina can accommodate 25 to 30 small pleasure crafts.
To truly experience all that the island has to discover, take a shore excursion to the world-famous Cabot Trail, stroll through the year 1744 at the Fortress of Louisbourg, sail on the placid water of the Bras d’Or Lakes, visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum or take in a traditional Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion.
