Easter Cold Storage, a division of the Souris Harbour Authority Inc. operates a 12 million lb. public cold storage in two different facilities. The facilities have four 25,000 lb. blast freezers capable of -25C.
Souris Harbour Industries
The Souris Harbour Authority owns and operates an 80,0000 sq. ft. former seafood plant located at the Souris Food Park, 20 Hope Street, Souris, Prince Edward Island. This facility houses 8 million lbs. of Eastern Cold Storage’s capacity and 2 blast freezers. The facility is adjacent to commercial marine port services and ferry service to Iles de la Madeleine. Good access to a high-quality highway via Route # 2, a main highway in PEI.
The Centre for Aquaculture Technologies Canada occupies 22,000 sq. ft. in the facility. This company undertakes R&D and contract research (fish health, nutrition, molecular biology, etc.) for the aquaculture industry. MacAulay Produce occupies 10,,000 sq. ft. processing organic potato french fries.
